Group F of the 34th edition of the AFCON comprises of Morocco, DR CONGO, Tanzania and Zambia. All national teams with different moments of glory.
The Atlas Lions of Morocco after winning their only trophy so far, in 1976, had their best performance again only in 2004 when they finished the competition as runners-up.
In their first outing, they will face Tanzania, the East African country, on the 17th of January.
Tanzania has only played in two AFCON editions, notably, those of 1980 and 2019. Unfortunately, she has never had a taste of the knockout stages.
It is therefore beyond all reasonable doubt that they will aim to break records in this edition of the grand football gathering.
As regards DR Congo and Zambia, both national teams will face each other when they start their campaign on the same day, but at 8pm.
It is worth mentioning, DR Congo, two times AFCON Champions, all gotten in 1968 and 1974, respectively, will be hoping to regain her glory on the African Stage. (The Chipolopolos of Zambia lift AFCON 2012 trophy)
Meanwhile, Zambia, one time AFCON Champion in 2012, are participating for the second since their moment of glory.
It is therefore hoped that Chipolopolos of Zambia will come in force and make the Zambians proud again.
