Monday 27th of May 2024, marked the beginning of the 2024 General Secondary Education Baccalaureate exams across Cameroon. In the Littoral region, a total of 33,173 candidates registered for the public exam in 34 centers and 6 sub centers.
At the Bepanda Government Bilingual High School in Douala V, 695 candidates were registered, with only two absent due to passing away earlier. Stringent security measures were in place to ensure exam integrity, with candidates thoroughly searched before entering the exam hall.
The administration at GBHS Bepanda is committed to upholding fairness and transparency throughout the exams. They were instructed to improve on last year’s results by at least 5%, an objective they aim to attain in this year’s Baccalauréat.
Chief Examiner Mr. Wamo Dieudonné reported a calm start to the exams, thanks to preparatory council meetings with candidates. A few students forgot their ID materials due to stress, but were granted a grace period after verification by the discipline master.
Overall, the 2024 Baccalaureate exams in Douala got off to a smooth start, with robust security measures and a committed team focused on fairness and improved results.
