A 70-year old man who happens to be a drug trafficker was apprehended by authorities after an operation, on November 22nd 2023, in the West Region of Cameroon. The suspect was caught transporting 130kg of cannabis, stored in 12 bags for sale.
The governor of the West region, Away Gonna Augustine, personally oversaw the presentation of the criminal to the press, highlighting the significance of this arrest in the fight against drug trafficking.
The seized drugs were immediately destroyed, demonstrating the authorities’ determination to eradicate the illegal activity.
