The Minister of Communication, René Emmanuel Sadi, officially launched the second edition of the Cameroon International Audiovisual Convention in its french acronym, (SINAC) over the weekend in Douala. The 7-day event is taking place at the Parcours Vita site in Bonamoussadi, from May 25th to 31st, 2024.
The Minister was accompanied by administrative authorities of the city, including the Governor of Littoral, Ivaha Diboua, amongst others.
SINAC brings together major figures from the African audiovisual industry for a series of master classes held daily on the event site. The salon provides a platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and showcasing the latest trends and innovations in the sector.
« This second edition of SINAC is an important event for the development of the audiovisual industry in Cameroon and across Africa, » said Minister Sadi. « It is an opportunity to highlight the talent and creativity of our professionals, as well as foster collaboration and exchange of best practices. »
The Cameroon International Audiovisual Convention was an idea of Communications expert and mediapreneur, Yolande Bodiong, and is organized by the Ministry of Communication in partnership with industry stakeholders. It aims to promote the growth and competitiveness of the audiovisual sector, which plays a crucial role in the cultural and economic development of the continent.
