Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions, are set to face Senegal’s Teranga Lions this October 16th, in France at 7:30pm, Cameroon time.
The encounter counts for a friendly which sets the pace for preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, and most especially, the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted by Côté d’Ivoire next year.
Cameroon’s Head coach says the friendly match against the Teranga Lions of Senegal wil be played with total commitment. Speaking at a pre-match briefing on Sunday evening October 15th, in Paris, Rigobert Song said it is a match that everyone wants to play.
According to him, there will be no difference between the encounter and that of January, when both sides meet at the Africa Cup of Nations. Song adds that the match is taken seriously because it will allow both teams to evaluate each other and put in place a strategy, ahead of the continental jamboree, given that they are both slated in Group C.
On his part, the Senegalese coach, Aliou Cissé says it is only a friendly match and that the result would not be that important.
Note, the Indomitable Lions and the Lions of Téranga will clash at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis in Lens, France as from 7:30pm local time.
