In a bid to ensure the safety and well-being of students, the Douala V Municipality has issued a warning against the organization of end of year parties on school campuses between 6pm and 7am.

The municipality strongly advises that any party held on campus should be scheduled exclusively between 6am and 6pm.

The decision comes as a response to concerns raised by parents, teachers, and community members regarding the potential risks associated with late-night parties on school premises. The municipality aims to protect students from potential harm and maintain a conducive learning environment.

Many consider that organizing parties during late hours poses several risks, including increased exposure to alcohol and drug abuse, potential violence, and the disruption of academic activities.
School administrators, teachers, and students are urged to comply with the directive and refrain from organizing or attending parties outside the designated hours.
To enforce this decision, the authorities will work closely with law enforcement agents and any individual or group found in violation of the warning is bound to face legal consequences.
Note, this comes as a proactive step towards safeguarding the well-being of students.
