The Public Independent Conciliator for the North West region, TAMFU Simon FAI, has called on Mayors in the region to expedite the process of issuing Civil Status Documents free of charge in their municipalities. He emphasized the importance of this initiative and urged Mayors who have not yet implemented the service to do so promptly.

In a recent statement, TAMFU Simon FAI highlighted the significance of providing Civil Status Documents to residents at no cost, as it is a fundamental right and essential for accessing various services and opportunities. He also urged Mayors to sign Press Releases to inform the public about the availability of this service in their respective municipalities.
The Office of the Public Independent Conciliator has recognized the efforts of several Councils in the region that have already started issuing Civil Status Documents free of charge. Communities like Andek, Balikumbat, Benakuma, Mbengwi, Misaje, Ndop, Ndu, Njinikom, Nkor, Nkum, Zhoa, Bamenda I, and Tubah have been commended for their proactive approach in providing this vital service to their residents.
