NW/NKAMBE EXPLOSION: WOMEN DECRY BABARIC ACT

Nkambe women have taken a stand against the barbaric act that occurred at the Nkambe grandstand on February 11th, 2024. In the early hours of Monday, February 12th, these brave women gathered in large numbers to denounce the tragic incident.

During the 58th edition of Youth Day celebrations, an improvised explosive device detonated at the grandstand, resulting in the loss of many lives and leaving numerous people, including children, seriously injured. This act of violence has deeply affected the community, and the women of Nkambe have taken to the streets to express their frustrations and demand justice.

It is important to note that this incident took place within the context of the ongoing Anglophone Crisis, which has been a major challenge for Cameroon since 2016. The crisis has caused tensions and conflicts in various regions of the country, but Nkambe, located in the Northwest region, has been known for its ability to manage and mitigate these tensions.

As the community mourns the loss of lives and prays for the speedy recovery of the injured, individuals are calling for a swift return to normalcy. The people of Nkambe, along with the rest of the nation, hope that this tragic event serves as a wake-up call for the government and all stakeholders to prioritize peace and find lasting solutions to the Anglophone Crisis.
